The Environmental & Emerging Claim Manager Association ("EECMA") Steering Committee is pleased to announce the Spring 2012 Conference and Seminar scheduled to take place at the South Seas Island Resort and Conference Center on Captiva Island, Florida, from Wednesday, May 2nd through Friday, May 4th, 2012. Please book your room reservations early as we expect our block to sell out. We also encourage all of you to join the EECMA Group ("Environmental and Emerging Claim Manager Association") on LinkedIn where conference updates and other items of interest will be posted. As always, we will be offering an excellent array of speakers on cutting edge topics. Please forward this to anyone that might be interested in attending. CONFERENCE REGISTRATION & TUITION
On Wednesday evening, May 2nd, the EECMA and our sponsors will host a welcome cocktail party and dinner reception from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The conference will be held for a full day session on Thursday, May 3rd, with a luncheon provided. We will also have a sponsor hosted dinner on Thursday night, May 3rd. On Friday, May 4th, we will have a half-day session, ending at around 12:30pm. As always, we will be covering a variety of topics that may include coverage updates, asbestos litigation, silica litigation, environmental litigation, new insurance products, reinsurance issues, pharmaceutical claims, benzene, nanotechnology and other relevant global issues.
SPONSORSHIP AND PRESENTER OPPORTUNITIES
There are still very limited opportunities for company sponsorship of our dinner, lunch, and break events. If anyone is interested in sponsorship, please send an email back to me at your earliest opportunity. We have received 40 topic and speaking proposals for this year and we are currently finalizing the agenda. We can only accommodate about 20 speaking slots. Presentations are generally 30 to 45 minutes in length. We expect to have the agenda finalized in the next few weeks.
CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION and ADJUSTER CREDITS
Due to the success of offering CLE and CE credits for the last five conferences, we will again be associating with Perrin Conferences, who will handle our CLE credits. When sending in your registration form, please state if you need CLE/CE credits and the states for which you need them. We will not be seeking credit for every state, but will try to accommodate as many of our membership and guests as possible. It is estimated that we will receive approximately 8 hours of approved credits.
AIRPORT, HOTEL AND RESERVATIONS DETAILS:
The conference and seminar will be held at the South Seas Island Resort and Conference Center located at 5400 Plantation Road, Captiva Island, Florida, 33924. The telephone number for the hotel is 239.472.5111. Captiva Island is conveniently located just 35 miles from the Fort Myers International Airport. Car rentals are available at the airport. You may also arrange for Taxi Service when you make your arrangements. In the past we have used Sanibel Taxi or Dolphin Transportation.
We have negotiated excellent rates again this year. The EECMA rate for a Harbourside Hotel Room is $169 per night single or double occupancy. These are the rooms we have traditionally had available. Limited numbers of one bedroom Tennis and Bayside Villas are also available for $169.00 per night. Limited numbers of one bedroom Beach Villas and two-bedroom Tennis Villas are also available at $229 per night. These rates are the best we have ever had! There are additional state and local tax and other charges that apply. Please inquire with the hotel about those charges and fees. Rooms are on a first-come, first served basis, so please make your reservations early! The block of rooms for our group will be guaranteed at these rates until March 18th, 2012. After that, rooms will be subject to availability. Please book early! Our room block WILL sell out at these rates!

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION & TUITION:
You must register for the conference to enable us to prepare name tags and to arrange for food events with the hotel. To do so, complete the attached registration form and e-mail it to Gregory Kelder at Gregory.Kelder@resolute-midatlantic.com. You may also fax it to Greg at 267.765.6272. Please include this caption in the email subject line of your email-EECMA Registration. As a courtesy to the EECMA, we would appreciate, for planning purposes that you register early. Cancellations made after April 25th, 2012 will not be refunded.
Tuition/membership for the conference is $500 per insurance Company. The tuition allows companies to send up to 3 individuals to the seminar. The cost for the seminar for lawyers and guests is $500 per person. There is no charge for speakers and sponsors. Sponsors are limited to three attendees. Additional attendees may attend if they pay the tuition fee. Please send all checks made payable to EECMA, to Steve Jakubowski, CHUBB, P.O.
